The last time the Jays played the Shockers, I didn’t do a preview mainly because family and holidays called. Again the family calls and I will be out of town. So I will have my own viewing of the game on late Sunday night. So here are a few quick notes
- Coach Gregggg Marshall is not making many friends in the Valley right now. After the debacle from the first matchup and the big deal about the play that wasn’t run, I think the Jays should run that for the first play of the game.
- Wichita St. is 0-fer in the conference so far. They will be geared up for this one.
- Koch arena will all be “Blacking Out” tonight.
- Last time out, the Jays shut down Ramon Clemente. He has had such bad showings since, he is now coming off the bench for the Shockers.
Speaking of Clemente, did you ever check out his crib?
This has all the ingredients for a trap game and the Jays will have a little tougher time with this one. With Millard out for 4-6 weeks now and Booker Woodfox questionable, the Jays have a lot of adversity to overcome to win a game they are supposed to win. But winning on the road is always tough, though not necessarily for the Valley this season. It has been crazy so far, so look for crazy in this one. This one will come down to the wire today.
Prediction: Jays 70, Wichita St. 66
